| The Tenney-Lapham/Old Market Place Neighborhood (TLOMP) is a centrally locatedneighborhood lying to the east of the State Capitol. Along with Marquette,Schenk-Atwood, and Emerson East neighborhoods, it shares common features:older housing stock, a mix of housing types and ownership patterns on smallerlots, and major arterial gateways leading to the downtown. It is helpfulto examine the Isthmus neighborhoods, and their relation to the communityas a whole, to better asses the similarities and differences between thegeographic areas and the impact, if any, of the proposed plan recommendations.
